CONTEXTE DE LA FORMATION
This training block is part of a doctoral training offered within the Cocoso Doctoral Network (Co-construction in the field of Social Welfare -
https://cocoso.parisnanterre.fr). Supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, the Cocoso project promotes participation and co-construction as essential elements of democracy and innovation in social welfare. It focuses on providing training and conducting doctoral research to meet the growing need for meaningful and efficient citizen engagement in social services and policies. Cocoso brings together 6 universities and 15 partners from the non-governmental and public sectors across Europe. The research will develop evidence-based knowledge and innovative methods for effective implementation. This training is open to doctoral students from Université Paris Nanterre who are interested in participative research with vulnerable citizens, from an international perspective.
OBJECTIFS
- develop research skills and knowledge on participative research, including cross-sectional aspects of vulnerability
- meet with an international group of doctoral students
OUTILS ET MÉTHODOLOGIE PÉDAGOGIQUE
In each session, researchers will reflect on their experience of using participative methods in research involving citizens with specific vulnerabilities. Reference publications will be handed out to PhD students beforehand in order to prepare the sessions. Students will be encouraged to reflect on their readings, on researchers’ experience, and on how this will relate to their own PhD research.
